About the Maryland/DC Chapter of NAELA

Building a stronger elder law community across Maryland and the District of Columbia.

The Maryland/DC Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys brings together attorneys and allied professionals serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their loved ones throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Our Mission

We strengthen elder law practice through practical education, professional collaboration, mentorship, useful resources, and thoughtful public-policy engagement.

What the Chapter Provides

• Continuing education on elder law, Medicaid, long-term care, special needs planning, and related issues.
• Networking and mentorship among experienced and developing practitioners.
• Opportunities to participate in advocacy and policy initiatives.
• Programs and resources designed to strengthen member practices and improve service to clients.

New NAELA members receive their first year of Maryland/DC Chapter membership free.
